Prayer team! This is my first attempt at writing a blog. Tim and Joey are laughing as I sit next to Karen so I don't mess up! It is my hope that this blog will become a tool that will both help and encourage you as we start this new ministry. Let us become as the woman in Luke 18:1-8 who continued to come before the unjust judge until she was "avenged". Let us storm Heaven with our prayers and watch as God blesses this church in a mighty way! He has given us so much and we have given Him so little. There is a scripture in 1Samuel 12 that I would like to be our "motto". The children of Israel wanted a king to rule over them like the other nations instead of God. The prophet Samuel told them God had listened and Saul was anointed to be king. God did, however, consider this to be a wicked thing and there would be consequences. Then Samuel said to them in 1Sam.1:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and right way.
What a scripture! And what a challenge for us as a Prayer Ministry Team. Let us never cease to pray for our church and "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."(Heb.4:16)
